Vince Bruzzese in Montreal, Canada founded Totem Acoustic in 1987.
The new company's original mission was to develop a totally new
transducer, a loudspeaker capable of reproducing a truly musical
and involving performance. The goal was to provide something not
currently available on the market - an affordable "soul mover"
for the music lover. A speaker should exhibit liveliness and spaciousness
of sound, with all the qualities that make live music truly soul
moving. Dynamics, transients, decay, harmonics, timbre, and rhythm
must be realistically portrayed. Few speakers address all of these
parameters.
